| BIOCANT PARK will foster investment in R&D activities by creating and catalysing knowledge intensive business initiatives in biotechnology resulting in the generation of wealth and economic development in the region and country. |

BIOCANT PARK is the first Portuguese Science and Technology Park exclusively dedicated to Biotechnology promoting the formation of a cluster of companies and R&D institutions of excellence in the center region of Portugal. BIOCANT PARK aims to be an international reference for research and business creation in the Life Sciences.
BIOCANT PARK will attract national and international investment into knowledge intensive initiatives in Life Sciences. By 2010 BIOCANT PARK will have promoted the creation of 20 technology based companies and 200 high qualified jobs.
Taking advantage of the national and international scientific and business networks of BIOCANT PARK we will help young talented people from portuguese universities or portuguese PhD’s working abroad to develop and validate business initiatives to attract qualified professionals to the park. |
